SAP Finance Managing Consultant (Capability Lead)

Salary: £125,000 basic + Benefits + Bonus = £145,000 package
Location: UK – hybrid, with travel to client sites and company offices

SK Consultancy Solutions are seeking an SAP Finance Managing Consultant / Capability Lead for a technology consulting partner delivering SAP finance transformation programmes.

This opportunity combines senior client delivery with responsibility for developing the SAP Finance capability. You will help shape the team’s direction, support consultants’ development and contribute to winning new business, while remaining closely involved in finance solution design and delivery.

The position suits an experienced SAP FI/CO consulting professional who brings S/4HANA expertise, strong client relationships and the ability to lead both people and project outcomes.

The opportunity

• Lead finance workstreams across S/4HANA implementations, conversions and improvement programmes, helping clients translate finance priorities into practical solutions.
• Advise customers on transformation options, review proposed designs and guide decisions across finance processes and connected applications.
• Help set capability priorities, strengthen delivery standards and develop the team’s consulting and functional expertise.
• Mentor consultants, review their work and support their progression.
• Take a senior role in RFP responses and pre-sales, shaping finance proposals and presenting recommendations to prospective clients.
• Develop consulting propositions and identify opportunities to extend existing client relationships.
• Work with colleagues across delivery teams and regions to bring the right expertise into client engagements.

Your experience

You will bring substantial SAP FI/CO consulting experience, direct S/4HANA delivery involvement and a strong record of leading complex finance assignments.

Your background should combine functional depth with an understanding of wider finance transformation, application integration and the choices organisations face when modernising their SAP landscape. Experience may include new implementations, system conversions, selective data transitions, solution assessments or optimisation programmes.

You should also demonstrate experience developing consultants, influencing senior stakeholders and contributing to the growth of a consulting team or capability.

Commercial involvement is important: you will be comfortable shaping bid responses, explaining solution options and presenting a credible delivery approach to clients.

S/4HANA Finance certification is desirable. Applicants who are not already certified should be prepared to achieve this during their first year.

Working arrangements and eligibility

The role combines home working with attendance at client sites and company offices. Applicants must be able to obtain SC clearance; the supplied requirements include five years’ continuous UK residence, alongside further eligibility checks.
