SAP Finance Managing Consultant

Salary: £90,000 – £110,000 base + Benefits + Bonus

A growing consulting practice is seeking SAP Finance Managing Consultants at multiple seniority levels, with recent hands-on experience delivering SAP S/4HANA Finance programmes. The role involves leading finance-focused transformation initiatives and shaping solution design across a wide range of projects.

Role Overview

As a Lead/Managing Consultant within the SAP Finance practice, you will contribute to and oversee key activities across:

• Finance transformation programmes

• S/4HANA migrations and conversion projects

• Strategic assessments and proof-of-concept engagements

• Solution reviews and design authority roles

You will operate in a senior capacity and guide teams through complex delivery cycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead client workshops to define, refine and sign off functional and technical requirements

• Direct teams in configuring SAP FI/CO solutions and developing functional specifications

• Collaborate with blended onshore/offshore delivery teams to ensure cohesive project execution

• Work closely with client leadership to ensure programmes deliver expected outcomes

• Provide expert guidance and thought leadership across Finance, Controlling and related integration areas

• Participate in advisory engagements, implementation reviews, system optimisation efforts, and both Greenfield and Brownfield S/4HANA deliveries

• Support the growth of the Finance capability through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and involvement in strategic initiatives

• Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the UK and internationally

Experience & Skills Required

• Background as an SAP Finance consultant with exposure to full project lifecycles

• Strong expertise in Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO)

• Experience leading functional teams and delivering innovative solutions

• Deep understanding of Finance process integration across the wider SAP landscape

• Confidence operating in advisory, solution review or senior implementation roles

• Ability to work across varied project types, including PoCs, conversions, system improvements and new implementations
